i live in cary nc. i called this group because i needed someone to check my property for leaks. This group came highly recommended to be a local plumber. I contacted this group to discuss my need. Their return call was next day which is ok. Once i discussed with them that the city was telling me that potential water leak was not on my property but probably on the city side. Having discussed with this group, we made an appt. I called to confirm the appointment the day before they were to show up. They noted that maybe the other plumber in this group had this info about an appointment but that they would be out to my house at the arranged time. They even agreed to call me to give me time to get to my house from my daily work location.

Even though the initial cost of this effort was 450.00, i agreed that this work needed to be done so that, if there was a leak, the city would come out and repair the leak. Once the group showed up, on time, they informed that they were not permitted to test for the leak on the city water line. We had discussed and agreed on this work ahead of time. time spent; 20 minutes. And i was charged 150.00 for their travel time. And the leak problem still exists. So back to the city.

I am unhappy with this organization and would not recommend them. My expectation was for them to help me find the leak. And the discussion was for them to see if the leak was on the city waterline that feeds into my property. Because this waterline belonged to the city, they were not able to test. So, this is fine. they should have told me in discussion and setting up the appt that they were not able to help. Poor communication. And i get to pay for it.

No thanks.

This customer was told the same thing we told him by three other companies before we went there. He was determined time warner had cut his water line on his side of the meter and that wasn't the case.

If the leak is on the city side, it is the city's responsibility. They should come out and check for free...

You've wasted your time and money and slammed a company online for no reason. Your review was terribly written and I hope no one takes it seriously.

I totally agree. It is so easy for people to slam other people with a keyboard. Such cowards!

I'm the owner of American Leak Detection and I spoke with Mr.Gainer on a recorded line and the information he's giving is not correct. He told me that he had a leak in his yard.

Upon arrival he told my Tech. that both Google and Time Warner had ran lines by the curb and that he had several plumbers come out to look at this and they told him that the leak was on the city side and they told him to call the city. This is the first we had heard of this. My tech.

explained to him we couldn't test the city side without there without them authorizing it. And that it could also be his sewer or water line leaking in his yard.. He didn't want to test his side because he was told that his leak was on the city side. We reduced our bill to a service call after Mr.Gainer didn't want to video his sewer line or look for this leak on his side of the meter because he said he knew it wasn't there because the plumbers had already told him this.

It all boiled down to him not hearing what he wanted to hear and not listening to all the other companies he had out and then giving bad reviews to those who told him what he didn't want to hear. He should be mad at Time Warner and Google if they cut his line.

No way of knowing if they did without testing all lines to his house. Which he didn't want to test.
